MUSIC AT THE CATHEDRAL
Posted by CSANews

THE CATHEDRAL CHOIR continues the singing of the Communion antiphons from the Sacramentary during this fall season. The traditional singing of the Communion processional psalms are an ancient practice still given pride of place in the liturgy. The Cathedral choir also has begun singing now, a new setting of the traditional Latin "Gloria" text composed by our organist.

SPAGHETTI SERENADE X - In addition to the seriousness of the liturgy the music ministry also extends their many talents to the annual fundraiser for the music program of the cathedral. Buy your tickets now! Tickets are $15 a piece, or buy a whole table of 8, for $105 and save. "THE CATHEDRAL HOME COMPANION" is now in preparation. Money raised from this event assists in funding special projects of the various music ministries, including this year the establishment of the new, "Choral Scholars" program for the supplementation of the choir with skilled singers from our local universities.
